Casitas del Sol offers a location ideal for events up to about 40 people. If you are looking for a place for your single-day event (like Quinceñera, Birthday, Bar Mitzvah), planning a Destination Wedding, to host or attend a Retreat, or another event, our spacious yard, comfortable accommodation, ample pool, and new yoga platform can serve your needs. Single-Day Events: Quinceñera, Birthday, Bar Mitzvah, Graduation, etc.

Between the large yard, comfortable patio, and outdoor table, your guests can mingle as they want.

The 5m x 6m yoga deck can serve as a dance floor for your party. The pool offers a refreshing change of activity for those wishing to make a splash.

Our stocked kitchen has most things you may need for serving your party, whether that’s reheating dishes in the oven, refrigerating for freshness, or keeping ice cream frozen.

Destination Wedding

Your special day needs to be perfect. Imagine joining your partner with the beautiful Costa Rican mountains as your backdrop and sounds of the tropics all around. The whole property could be reserved for your party, with additional local accommodation for extended family and guests.

The yoga deck provides a beautiful, elevated platform for your ceremony, with local foliage as the background and elegant lighting.

The yard can seat your guests for the ceremony, and there is plenty of room for your reception.

Later, the yoga deck can serve as a dance floor, with the pool, patio, kitchen, and gardens available for mingling and activities.

Should you need, our on-site minister can conduct the ceremony. Same-sex marriage is legal in Costa Rica and we do not discriminate at Casitas del Sol.

Retreats: Attending or Hosting

Costa Rica has become a leading destination for yoga and wellness retreats. If you are looking for a place to host your retreat, we can help. If you wish to incorporate other wellness options, our on-site holistic bodyworker can help with massage, energy work, breathwork, or mindfulness. Our 5m x 6m yoga deck, built in April 2025, is ideal for your classes. There is room for about 10 participants, with the adjacent yard able to accommodate more.

Key to mindfulness is the environment where you practice. Surrounded by foliage, our property feels isolated while being close to the center of town. Often the only sounds are local birds and insects or the rain on the metal roof. The tranquility of the property facilitates relaxation and stress reduction and is ideal for wellness-oriented practices.

Several retreat options can be facilitated. Participant-oriented retreats are geared towards helping people with their practice in whatever form the host can lead. Instructor-oriented retreats focus on developing instructors in practices ranging from yoga, Tai Chi, mindfulness, meditation, energy work, or massage techniques.
